Spray foam is not the right answer everywhere, and anybody who says otherwise has something to sell. Each of these pages says plainly where the work pays and where it does not.
- Attic InsulationThe attic is the surface your heating bill leaves through, and the hardest place to insulate without leaving gaps. Foam at the roof line or cellulose on the floor, depending on how the space is built.Attics

Not sure which one you need?
Most people are not, and that is fine. The assessment exists precisely because the right answer depends on the cavity, the framing and the moisture story of your particular building, none of which can be worked out over the phone.
Ray has been doing this for seventeen years and still runs the assessments himself. If cellulose is the better value for your attic he will tell you that instead of selling you foam.
